The Administration Committee is concerned with the physical plant, and financial needs of the parish. This committee also acts as the Finance Committee, which prepares the Parish operating and capital budgets for presentation to the Parish Pastoral Council, monitors income and expenditures and suggests corrective actions as necessary. It is the channel for approval of fundraising projects. The Administration Committee is made up of parish members at large and recruits others to help in a series of sub-committees to carry out the functions of the committee. The following sub-committees prepare reports on issues studied and perform specific tasks, which all are reported to the total committee.
Audit reviews the books and records of the Parish to insure that Archdiocesan policies and procedures and sound financial practices are being followed. Budget Committee formulates the annual operating income and expense budget for review and approval of the Parish Pastoral Council. Studies sources of operating income. Compiles and publishes the annual year-end financial report. Capital Budget Committee assesses and prioritizes the capital needs and major repairs for the entire plant; prepares an annual capital budget; serves as the initial approval level for major projects. This group provides or secures expertise in planning new construction projects through consultation with architects, engineers, and contractors. Members also cooperate with the Parish Manager and/or Plant Manager in reviewing small maintenance, small construction, or purchase contracts. A subcommittee on Buildings and Grounds gives general oversight to maintenance of buildings and grounds and organizes volunteer work crews as needed. Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) Committee organizes the Parish level activities for the CSA; serves as a telephone committee to promote return of pledges; provides regular reports to the Administration Committee and the parish in general. Endowment Committee regularly reviews the performance of the Parish Endowment Fund; makes investment policy recommendations to the Administration Committee; communicates changes to the Fund Managers; prepares annual and quarterly reports. Money Counters Committee: each Monday morning count all funds from church collections, candles, and poor boxes.
