All Catholic Elementary Schools in Jefferson County Are Closed. St. Francis of Assisi will be closed.

Announcements of these decisions will be aired via radio and TV as early as possible. When announcements are made, every effort will be made to have the media use the exact wording indicated by this policy.

There is no provision for early dismissal due to bad weather. We feel that our students will be safer at school than walking home or waiting for parents to pick them up. Further, it is a burden on the parents to come to school to pick up students earlier than planned. Therefore, we will not dismiss early from school if bad weather should occur, unless the parent requests.
