School Board

The School Board acts as a policy-making board responsible for strategic planning that is vision/mission driven. This board’s voting members are school parents and parishioners with no children in school; non-voting members are a faculty representative, the principal, Parent Volunteer Organization representative and the pastor. The School Board creates a strategic plan with the input of all stakeholders, parents, students, teachers, the larger community, and presents this plan to the community. The board also implements the plan and continues ongoing evaluation of progress toward completion of the plan. When the plan is completed to the satisfaction of this board the planning process continues through reevaluation and modification of the various components of the original plan. The principal is a member of the school board and keeps the board focused on the vision/mission and goals of the school.

Parent Volunteer Organization

The Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) provides leadership and decision making for the school community. This group was formed to provide a source for the volunteers who make so many of the programs in the school possible — not to act as a fund-raising entity. The PVO is comprised of chairpersons of the group’s various committees. The PVO is run by two co-chairpersons who run the monthly meetings and provide the leadership for this group. The principal is an integral part of the PVO and is present at the meetings. The board looks to the principal to share the vision/mission and goals of the school.
